OCHS Warrior Head Insignia ca 1961
Description: Oconee County High School on Mars Hill Road opened in the fall of 1956. The classes attending were allowed to choose a mascot. Because of the County's name, Oconee, and its relationship to the native Indians, "Warrior" was chosen.

Many graduates have taken great pride in the mascot and its history.
