BETTY WEAVER taught math at Oconee County High School in the 60’s and 70’s. She was a good and respected teacher and kept her students in check. She was known for her red lipstick and an awesome bee hive hairdo.

OCHS students from 1960s - 1970s - Math Teacher Mrs Weaver passed away. Vickie posted this earlier on her FB newsfeed and I have many friends who might want to know. We will NEVER forget that jet black hair and hair to heaven hairdo! Her little sayings and her demanding all to behave! I will remember her fondly…
She was 7th grade math teacher for many, many of us... to include David, Barbara, Phyllis and Nan but I am sure she must have taught other subjects at some time. She was FAMOUS for her beehive dyed black hair that was always done to perfection and reached to the heavens, her Ruby red lipstick that she must have applied after each class because it was ever present.... and she loved to talk about her son. She ran a disciplined class and when she pointed her finger at you (this was before it was deemed impolite to point at folks) her pointing finger was never quite straight. She was a great math teacher and had no problem with keeping all students in line at all times. It would be hard to forget her for so many of her quirks as well as her teaching ability.
